Professor Dr. Robert Göstl
Sustainable Macromolecular Chemistry
Research
The Göstl group works at the interface between organic synthetic chemistry, polymer chemistry, photophysics and materials science with the aim of understanding and utilising the interactions between mechanical stress and polymer materials.
The group's core competences lie in organic synthesis chemistry and polymer chemistry. This enables the design and visualisation of functional materials. In addition, the substantial analysis and definition of research questions in a multidisciplinary context is ensured by experts in colloid and material sciences.
The AG Göstl deals with the following topics:
- Optical force probes
- Chemical reactivity
- The elucidation of molecular reaction pathways
