Research

The Didactics of Chemistry Wuppertal conducts curricular innovation research focusing on the development and testing of experiments, didactic concepts, and accompanying teaching and learning media suitable for use in schools.
In doing so, we develop future-oriented content and applications in the context of energy, energy conversion, and the sustainable use of resources.
The development of digital media such as (explanatory) videos, animations, and dynamic e-books is the focus to fullfill the requirements of school reality and teaching/learning processes.
Another pillar is the development and testing of teaching/learning settings and materials for bilingual chemistry teaching.
