After completing his undergraduate studies at HHU Düsseldorf, he transferred to the University of Wuppertal for his master’s degree. He completed his master’s thesis in the research group of Prof. Dr. Stefan F. Kirsch, where he has also been pursuing his doctorate since July 2025.

In his research, Cedric Meysing focuses on the oxidation of alcohols using hypervalent iodine compounds. The goal is to develop more sustainable oxidation methods that do not rely on hazardous and environmentally harmful substances. To this end, he employs organocatalytic systems in flow processes to enable easy scale-up.

The Kekulé Fellowship supports particularly talented doctoral students in chemistry and related fields. In addition to financial support, it offers opportunities for professional exchange and networking.

We warmly congratulate Mr. Meysing on receiving the Kekulé Fellowship and wish him continued success in his doctoral studies.
